Applesauce Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp. soda
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. salt

Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add beaten egg.
Stir 1 teaspoon soda into applesauce and add to first ingredients.
Sift together dry ingredients and blend into batter.
Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 400\u00b0 until done.
