Roast Lamb With Noodles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. leg or shoulder of lamb, cut into cubes
3 oz. butter or oil
4 pt. hot meat stock or water
1 lb. noodles
1 pt. thick tomato sauce or soup
cheese
salt and pepper
Preparation

Put lamb in shallow dish or pan.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Add butter.
Brown in moderate oven.
Turn pieces from time to time.
Add tomatoes and 1 pint of water.
Bake until meat is tender, stirring frequently.
When meat is very tender, remove from pan and keep meat hot.
Add remaining stock to pan.
Season to taste and bring to boil.
Add macaroni and cook until tender and has absorbed liquid.
Arrange hot meat on a platter and smother with macaroni.
Or return meat to noodles and garnish with cheese.
