Petite Strawberry Shortcake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. plus 1 Tbsp. milk
Preparation

Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt; set aside. Cream together the shortening and sugar until light and fluffy using an electric mixer at medium speed.
Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
Alternately add dry ingredients and milk to creamed mixture, beating well with an electric mixer on low speed after each addition.
Spoon batter into paper-lined 3-inch muffin pan cups.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 20 minutes or until done.
