Yum-Yum Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. raisins
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. water
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    3 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Cook raisins, sugar, water, lard and cinnamon in pan for 5 minutes.
    Let cool.
    Add flour, salt and soda.
    Mix well.
    Bake in 8 x 8-inch greased pan for 45 minutes at 375\u00b0.
    Test with toothpick.
