Mile High Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. milk
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. flour
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1 stick margarine
    1/2 c. Crisco shortening
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Slowly add
    milk to flour and salt in small saucepan to make a smooth
    paste.
    Cook
    over
    medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick.
    Cool completely (may be refrigerated). If mixture becomes lumpy, beat until smooth.
    In small bowl of electric mixer,
    cream
    sugar, shortening and margarine until fluffy.
    With mixer running at slow speed, add flour mixture a tablespoon at
    a time.
    Add\tvanilla
    and
    beat at high speed until stiff and fluffy.
