Ingredients

2 c. brown sugar
5 Tbsp. flour
4 eggs (yolks beaten separately) for topping
1 Tbsp. butter
2 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Mix all ingredients, except egg yolk, butter and vanilla. Bring to a boil.
Add yolks mixed with 1/2 cup or more of pudding. Cook until thick.
Add butter and vanilla.
Pour into baked pie shell.
Beat egg whites and 1/2 cup sugar slowly.
Place on pie and bake until done.
