Liver And Bacon Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. boiling water
    1/2 lb. beef liver
    1/2 small onion
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1/2 c. crushed Wheaties
    4 slices bacon
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over liver in pan.
    Simmer gently 5 minutes.
    Remove liver and cool slightly; grind liver and onion together.
    Mix with remaining ingredients except bacon.
    Shape into 4 patties; wrap each with a slice of bacon.
    Broil 3 to 4 inches from broiling unit until bacon is crisp and brown, 3 to 5 minutes on each side.
