Chinese Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large head nappa lettuce, cut in small pieces
    2 Tbsp. sesame seed
    18 oz. large can chow mein noodles
    1 c. sliced almonds
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. oil
    1/4 c. vinegar
    4 to 5 scallions, cut in small pieces
Preparation
    Saute butter, sesame seed, almonds and noodles until light brown.
    Bring to boil sugar, oil, vinegar and soy sauce for 1 minute.
    Let cool.
    Just before serving, mix noodle mixture with lettuce and onions.
    Pour dressing over lettuce; toss lightly.
