Birthday Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. cake flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    3/4 stick margarine
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. grated lemon rinds
    3 eggs, unbeaten
Preparation
    Sift flour, baking soda, salt, and sugar; set aside. Cream margarine and blend in lemon rind. Add flour mixture, buttermilk, and vanilla; mix until flour is damp, then beat for 2 minutes at medium speed. Add eggs and beat 1 minute longer. Pour into two 9 inch cake pans that have been greased and floured. Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
