Chocolate Covered Marshmallows - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. chocolate chips
    1/4 c. shortening
    2 c. nuts, chopped
    chocolate sprinkles
    1 pkg. large marshmallows
Preparation
    Place chocolate chips and shortening in a glass measuring cup. Microwave for 1 1/2 to 3 minutes, or until chips are shiny and soft; then stir until smooth.
    Place nuts or candy sprinkles on a shallow plate.
    Insert toothpick in top of each marshmallow.
    Dip marshmallow in chocolate to cover completely.
    Roll in nuts or sprinkles about 3/4 of the way up the sides.
    Set on wax paper and let set until firm.
    Repeat until all have been dipped.
    Makes 48 to 50.
