Ranch-Style Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1 Tbsp. cooking oil
    4 c. chicken broth
    1/4 c. long grain rice
    1/4 c. tomato puree
    1/4 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1 c. frozen peas
Preparation
    In saucepan, cook onion in hot oil until tender but not brown. Stir in chicken broth, rice, tomato puree, salt and pepper. Bring to boiling.
    Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 25 minutes. Stir in frozen peas; simmer 5 minutes longer.
    Makes 4 servings.
