Chocolate Chiffon Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. Crisco
    3 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. soda
    dash of salt
    4 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 c. buttermilk
    5 tsp. strong coffee
    2 tsp. vanilla
    5 egg whites
Preparation
    Cream Crisco and sugar.
    Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with milk to Crisco and sugar.
    Add coffee and vanilla.
    Last, fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
    Bake in wax paper-lined 8-inch round pans at 350\u00b0 for about 35 minutes.
    Cool thoroughly before icing.
