Applesauce Cake With Caramel Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sifted flour
    4 tsp. soda
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    2 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 c. vegetable oil
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. applesauce, heated
    1/2 c. raisins
    1/2 c. walnuts
Preparation
    In
    a
    large mixing bowl, combine oil and sugar.
    Beat. Stir in hot applesauce.\tAdd sifted dry ingredients.
    Stir in raisins and
    nuts.\tUse
    2\twell-greased 9 x 9 x 2-inch pans. Bake\tin
    a 400\u00b0 oven for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 375\u00b0 for 15 minutes. If using a tube pan, bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
