Shortcut Caramels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    2 1/4 c. or 1 (16 oz.) box brown sugar
    1 (14 oz.) can condensed milk
    1 c. light corn syrup
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. nuts
Preparation
    Line a 9 x 9-inch or 8 3/4-inch baking pan with foil, extending foil over the edges of the pan; butter foil.
