Spanish Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. margarine
    1 medium onion, thinly sliced
    1/2 medium green pepper, diced
    1 c. rice
    2 c. undrained stewed tomatoes
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Heat margarine in saucepan; add onion, green pepper and rice. Cook and stir over high heat until lightly browned.
    Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
    Add 1/2 pound ground beef if desired. Serves 4 to 6.
