Peach Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sliced peaches
    2 c. sugar
    1 stick butter or margarine
    3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    pinch of salt
    3/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Mix peaches with 1 cup sugar.
    Put butter in a 2-quart casserole and set in 350\u00b0 oven to melt.
    Stir up batter of 1 cup sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and milk.
    Pour over melted butter.
    Do not stir.
    Put peaches on top.
    Bake for 1 hour or until crust is golden brown.
    Batter comes to top during baking.
