Caramel Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 1/2 c. hot water
    1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
    3 Tbsp. white sugar
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    3/4 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Heat sugar, butter and water.
    Boil 10 minutes.
    Mix flour and 3 tablespoons butter with pastry blender.
    Add nuts, milk and vanilla;
    mix.
    Drop by tablespoon into boiling caramel sauce. Simmer, covered, 12 to 15 minutes.
    Do not uncover while cooking! Makes 10 to 12 dumplings.
    Serve with ice cream or Cool Whip.
