Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 c. corn meal
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. chopped onion
1/4 tsp. soda
3/4 c. buttermilk
1 egg

Preparation

Combine all ingredients.
Stir until moistened.
Drop rounded teaspoonfuls in hot oil.
Fry until golden brown.
Makes about 35.
