Old-Fashioned Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 sticks margarine
1/2 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
1 c. evaporated milk
3 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 tsp. lemon flavoring
Preparation

Cream margarine and shortening.
Gradually add the sugar, beating until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Combine the flour and baking powder.
Add this to the creamed mixture, alternating with the milk and mixing well after each addition.
Stir in the vanilla and lemon flavorings.
Pour the batter into a greased 10-inch tube pan.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until cake tests done.
