West Texas Fruit Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 eggs
2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
4 Tbsp. cocoa
4 Tbsp. sugar
4 Tbsp. water
1 c. dates
1 c. coconut
1 c. pecans
2 Tbsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Blend eggs, sugar and butter until fluffy.
Mix in cocoa, 4 tablespoons sugar and water; melt over low heat.
Grind fine dates, coconut and pecans.
Add vanilla, flour and baking soda. Add all ingredients.
Mix well until smooth.
Bake in three 9-inch pans until firm.
