Steak And Gravy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. cubed steak, cut into bite size pieces
    1 medium onion
    1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 c. evaporated milk
    2 c. water
    1/4 c. shortening or cooking oil
    2 Tbsp. steak sauce (optional)
Preparation
    Heat oil in large skillet.
    Coat steak in flour, salt and pepper.
    Brown meat, stirring several times.
    Add sliced onions to steak.
    Cook until onions are clear, but not brown.
    Reduce heat to low; drain off fat.
