Cornwell Cheese Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (3 oz.) pkg. chive cream cheese or 8 oz. container chive/onion cream cheese
    4 stiffly beaten egg whites
    1/2 lb. butter
    1/4 lb. sharp cheese
    1 loaf unsliced white bread
Preparation
    Melt cream cheese, sharp cheese and butter in double boiler. Fold in egg whites.
    Remove crust from bread.
    Cut in 1-inch squares.
    Dip bread cubes in warm cheese.
    Put on wax lined cookie sheet.
    Freeze.
    When frozen put in plastic bag or container.
    When ready to serve, pop in oven for 10 minutes at 400\u00b0.
    Good appetizer to have on hand for unexpected occasions.
