Pecan Corn Bread - cooking recipe

1 1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
1 c. unbleached flour
1/3 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. half and half
3/4 c. melted cooled butter
2 eggs
1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Combine cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a bowl; set aside. Mix together half and half, butter and eggs in another bowl. Stir liquid mixture and pecans into cornmeal mixture until just combined. Pour batter into well-greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until cake tester inserted into middle of loaf comes out clean. Cool in pan on cooling rack 10 minutes. Remove from pan and cool completely.
