Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large egg
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. cornmeal
    1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    4 medium sized tomatoes, cut into 1/3-inch slices
    4 Tbsp. vegetable oil
Preparation
    Combine egg and milk, set aside.
    Combine corn meal, flour, salt and pepper.
    Dip tomatoes in egg mixture, then roll in corn meal mixture.
    Heat vegetable oil in large skillet over medium heat.
    Arrange in single layers of tomato slices.
    Cook until golden brown on each side.
