Bennett'S Homemade Tortillas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. unbleached flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    3/4 to 1 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Combine flour and baking soda, then add salt and pepper. Combine shortening into mixture, using a fork or pastry knife, until mixture is crumbly, then slowly add boiling water.
    Knead for 3 minutes.
    Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes, until shiny.
