North Carolina Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 large eggs
    3 1/2 c. plain flour
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. sweet milk
    1 c. shortening
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. each: vanilla and lemon flavoring
Preparation
    Cream the shortening, butter and sugar.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after every addition.
    Sift flour, salt and baking powder together.
    Add alternately with milk, 1/3 at a time. Add flavorings.
    Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan.
    Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes at 325\u00b0, or until done.
