Pepper Nuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. Crisco
    1 c. sorghum
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. black pepper
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. ginger
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    2 heaping Tbsp. baking powder
    5 c. flour
Preparation
    Cream together first four ingredients.
    Sift dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture.
    Dough will be very stiff. On waxed paper, shape into rolls 1-inch in diameter.
    Chill overnight; slice into 1/4-inch slices.
    Bake 12 minutes at 375\u00b0.
