Swiss Creamed Peas - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. frozen peas
1 c. sliced green onions
2 Tbsp. butter
1 Tbsp. flour
1 c. whipping cream
1/2 tsp. shredded lemon peel
3/4 c. shredded Swiss cheese (3 oz.)
Preparation

In a saucepan, cook peas according to directions.
In a medium saucepan, cook onions in butter until tender, but not brown. Blend in the flour and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
Add cream and lemon peel.
Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.
Add cheese; cook and stir until cheese is melted.
Do not boil.
Drain peas and add to sauce.
