French Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. hot water
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. baking powder
    2 eggs
    1 c. melted shortening
    1/2 c. raisins
    1/2 c. nuts
Preparation
    Put all ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
    Bake in jelly roll pan (10 x 15-inches) at 375\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
    Ice with powdered sugar icing while warm.
