Jane'S Cheese Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large bag frozen hash brown potatoes (chunks)
    6 Tbsp. butter
    1 diced yellow onion (small)
    1 can cream of chicken soup (condensed)
    1 pt. sour cream
    10 oz. grated Cheddar
    1.5 c. corn flakes, crushed
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Defrost potatoes in microwave until slightly frozen.
    Spread in 9 x 12-inch glass pan.
    Sprinkle 3 tablespoons melted butter and onion over potatoes.
    Mix soup and sour cream.
    Salt and pepper potatoes.
    Spread mixture over potatoes.
    Sprinkle cheese on top.
    Sprinkle crushed cornflakes mixed with 3 tablespoons butter over top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 60 minutes.
    Cover with foil if corn flakes get too brown.
    Can be made day ahead. Wonderful for a crowd!
