Shaker Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 gal. sliced cucumbers
3 1/2 c. sugar
3 c. cider vinegar
1 tsp. powdered alum
1/2 tsp. celery seed
4 to 6 large onions, sliced thin
1/3 c. canning salt
1/2 tsp. turmeric
1/2 tsp. mustard seed
Preparation

Put all ingredients in glass gallon jar and shake well each day for 7 days.
Keep in refrigerator after 7 days.
They are ready to eat.
