Peanut Butter Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. quick oatmeal
    1 1/4 c. milk
    3/4 c. flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    3/4 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1/3 c. peanut butter
    1 egg, well beaten
Preparation
    Mix oatmeal and milk; let stand 5 minutes.
    Sift flour, baking powder, salt and sugar into oatmeal mixture.
    Add peanut butter, shortening and egg (just enough to moisten dry ingredients).
    Fill greased muffin pan 2/3 full.
    Bake in preheated 400\u00b0 oven for 25 minutes.
    Makes 12 (2-inch) muffins.
