Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. drained crushed pineapple
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 egg, well beaten
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
2 c. flour
Preparation

Cream shortening with sugars.
Add egg and pineapple.
Mix thoroughly.
Add flavoring.
Sift flour, measure and sift with salt, baking soda and baking powder.
Add to first mixture.
Add nuts.
Mix thoroughly.
Drop by teaspoonful on oiled cookie sheet. Bake in moderate oven about 10 minutes.
