Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. cooking oil
    2 medium onions, chopped fine
    2 lb. ground beef (chuck roast)
    2 cans condensed tomato soup
    1 soup can water
    1 (No. 2) can tomatoes, mashed up
    3 cans Van Camp's kidney beans
    2 level Tbsp. chili powder
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Put enough cooking oil in pan to cook onions.
    Fry them until tender.
    Add ground beef to onions and cook meat until it is done, stirring continuously.
    Drain excess fat off of onions and meat. Add all other ingredients, stirring continuously, until it begins to boil.
    Lower heat; cover and let simmer about 5 minutes.
