Fudge Pudding Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. sugar, divided
    1 c. all-purpose flour (unsifted)
    1/2 c. unsweetened cocoa, divided
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 c. milk, divided
    2 Tbsp. butter, melted
    1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    In a large bowl, combine 3/4 cup sugar, flour, 1/4 cup of cocoa, baking powder and salt.
    Stir in 1/2 cup milk, butter and vanilla.
    Spread into a buttered 8-inch square baking pan.
    Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa over the batter.
    Pour remaining 1 1/2 cups milk over all.
    Bake until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean, 30 to 35 minutes.
    Cool on a rack to room temperature before serving. \"Excellent with ice cream.\"
