Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. molasses
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. melted shortening
    1/2 c. sour milk
    1 egg
    1 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. ginger
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    nutmeg
Preparation
    Mix ingredients in order given, sifting the soda with the flour before adding it.
    Bake in a moderate oven (350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0) in a greased shallow pan or in muffin tins.
    Serve with whipped cream topping.
