Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. self-rising flour
    2 1/4 c. sugar
    6 c. pecans
    1/2 c. orange juice
    1/2 c. syrup (yellow label, Blackburn)
    pinch of soda
    6 eggs
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. cloves
    3 sticks oleo
Preparation
    Melt oleo.
    Beat eggs.
    Add to oleo.
    Add syrup and orange juice.
    Mix flour over nuts, sugar and spices.
    Mix all ingredients together and bake in slowest oven possible for 3 hours; do not preheat oven.
    Test with straw.
