Smoked Sausage Vegetable Dinner - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 lb. smoked sausage
    4 medium baking potatoes
    4 medium carrots, cut in strips
    1 medium onion, quartered
    1 medium head cabbage, cored and quartered
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Cut sausage into 1/2-inch slices.
    Wash potatoes and peel, then cut into slices or quarters.
    Layer sausage, potatoes and next 3 ingredients in a large Dutch oven, sprinkling each vegetable layer with salt and pepper.
    Add 1 cup water and bring to boil.
    Cover; reduce heat and simmer 35 to 45 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
    Makes 4 to 6 servings.
