Pirok(Salmon Pie) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

pastry for 2-crust 8-inch pie, unbaked
2 c. cooked rice
2 c. medium cream sauce (white sauce)
2 medium thinly sliced onions, sauteed in 2 Tbsp. butter
1 can (1 lb.) salmon
2 hard-cooked eggs, finely chopped
1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
1/2 c. mayonnaise
Preparation

Roll out half the pastry 1/8-inch thick to line an 8-inch square pan.
Mix rice with 1/2 cup cream sauce.
Place half of rice mixture in pastry.
Add pieces of salmon.
Distribute onions and eggs over salmon, then cover with remaining rice.
Roll out second half of dough and place over rice.
Moisten edges in top crust for escape of steam.
Bake in preheated moderate oven (350\u00b0) for 1 hour.
