Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. Crisco
    1 egg
    2 bananas, mashed
    2 Tbsp. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. lemon extract
    1/2 c. pecans, chopped
Preparation
    Cream sugar, shortening and egg.
    Beat in bananas and cream well.
    Add buttermilk, flour, soda, vanilla, lemon extract and nuts.
    Bake 45 minutes in a loaf pan at 325\u00b0.
    Check for doneness with a cake tester.
    Makes 1 loaf.
