Fudgie Scotch Ring - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6 oz.) (1 c.) pkg. semi-sweet bits
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. butterscotch bits
    1 can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
    1 1/2 c. coarsely chopped walnuts
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    walnut halves and pieces
Preparation
    Melt chocolate and butterscotch pieces with condensed milk in top of double boiler over hot (not boiling) water.
    (Water should not touch bottom of top double boiler pan.) Stir occasionally until bits are melted and mixture begins to thicken.
    Remove pan from heat and add chopped walnuts and vanilla.
    Blend well.
    Chill about 1 hour until mixture thickens.
