Sun Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 1/2 c. water
    2/3 c. pickling salt
    1 small pea alum (1/2 tsp. powder)
    3 1/2 c. white vinegar
    1/2 bud garlic (6 cloves)
    2 sprigs fresh dill (add more if desired)
Preparation
    Wash cucumber and put in jar. Mix all ingredients and add to jar.
    Set in the sun for two days (jar can be 1 gallon or larger).
