Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar well.
Beat in eggs and vanilla. Gradually blend in flour, baking powder and salt which have been sifted together.
Chill dough at least 3 hours or overnight.
Roll dough out on a lightly floured pastry canvas with a stockinette covered rolling pin to 1/8 to 1/4-inch thickness.
Place on ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
