Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
3/4 c. margarine or butter, softened
2 eggs
2 Tbsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 (6 oz.) pkg. solid chocolate mint candy wafer, unwrapped
60 nut halves
Preparation

In large bowl, combine sugar, brown sugar, margarine, eggs, water and vanilla; mix well.
Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off.
Stir in flour, soda and salt; mix well.
Chill dough at least 2 hours.
Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
Enclose each wafer completely in about 1 tablespoon of dough.
Place inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
Top each with nut half.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 7 to 9 minutes until light golden brown.
Yields 5 dozen cookies.
