Punch Bowl Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 boxes French vanilla pudding
    1 box yellow cake mix
    1 can cherry pie filling
    1 can pineapple, crushed or diced
    1 c. nuts (pecans)
    1 (16 oz.) carton Cool Whip
Preparation
    Prepare cake according to directions on box; cool.
    Mix pudding with only 3 cups milk; let sit.
    Mix cherry pie filling, pineapple and nuts.
    Crumble 1/2 of cake in bowl; add 1/2 of cherry mix, 1/2 of pudding and 1/2 of Cool Whip.
    Repeat.
