"Tasty Taco Salad" - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 head lettuce
1 onion, chopped
1 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 large avocado, peeled and sliced (optional)
4 tomatoes, cut in wedges
1 can red kidney beans
1 lb. ground beef
1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
1 tsp. salt
tortilla chips
1 c. Thousand Island dressing
Preparation

Drain kidney beans and rinse well with cold water; then drain on paper towel.
Brown beef in skillet; drain grease from pan. Then add salt, beans and taco seasoning mix.
Simmer for 10 minutes.
Toss lettuce, onion, cheese, tortilla chips, avocado and tomatoes.
Then toss both mixtures together.
Garnish with additional tortilla chips.
Pour in Thousand Island dressing, toss lightly again and serve.
