Biscuits - cooking recipe

2 c. flour
2 tsp. sugar
1/2 c. butter
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. milk
Preparation

Sift together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.
Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and pour in milk.
Mix to make a soft dough, then turn onto a lightly floured surface and knead briefly. Roll dough out to 1/2-inch thick.
Cut biscuits, using a 2-inch floured cutter.
Arrange biscuits close together on a cookie sheet. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes at 425\u00b0.
Serve warm.
