Clam Fritters - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (11 oz.) container minced fresh clams, drained
1/4 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
2 eggs, beaten
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
1/2 tsp. lime juice
1/2 tsp. hot sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2/3 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
vegetable oil
Preparation

Combine first 9 ingredients in a mixing bowl; mix well. Combine flour and baking powder; add to clam mixture and stir until moistened.
Heat 3/4-inch oil in a skillet to 350\u00b0.
Drop clam mixture into hot oil by level tablespoonfuls.
Fry until light golden brown, turning once.
Drain on paper towels.
Serve immediately.
