Custard Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    single unbaked pie shell
Preparation
    Line a 9-inch pie plate with pie shell.
    Brush with egg white to prevent soaking.
    Beat eggs slightly.
    Add sugar and salt. Blend in milk, vanilla and butter.
    Pour into shell; sprinkle on nutmeg.
    Bake in very hot oven (450\u00b0) for 10 minutes.
    Reduce heat to 350\u00b0 and bake for 25 minutes, or until knife comes out clean.
