Meat Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1/2 c. cracker crumbs
    2 beaten eggs
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1/4 c. finely chopped onion
    1 tsp. salt
    dash of dried thyme, crushed
    dash of dried marjoram, crushed
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 scallions, finely chopped
    1 egg
    1/4 c. dry bread crumbs
    3 Tbsp. soy sauce, divided
    2 tsp. minced fresh ginger, divided
    2 Tbsp. oil, divided
    2 Tbsp. white wine or water
    1/2 tsp. cornstarch
    1 tsp. sugar
    3 cloves garlic, minced
    1 (1 lb.) bag frozen broccoli, carrots and water chestnuts, thawed
Preparation
    Combine ground beef, scallions, egg, bread crumbs, 1 tablespoon soy sauce and 1 teaspoon minced ginger.
    Shape into 24 balls.
    In large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon oil over medium-high heat.
    Add meatballs; cook until browned, about 12 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
    Wipe skillet clean.
    Combine remaining 2 tablespoons soy sauce, wine, cornstarch, sugar and 2 tablespoons water in a small bowl; set aside.
    In skillet, heat remaining 1 tablespoon oil over medium heat.
    Add garlic; cook 1 minute.
    Add remaining 1 teaspoon ginger; cook 1 minute.
    Add vegetables and soy sauce mixture.
    Bring to a simmer; cook 1 minute.
    Return meatballs to pan.
    Cover and cook until heated through, 5 minutes.
    Makes 4 servings.
